The GSS100 provides an all-in-one, 19” rack mounting solution for large acquisition applications. The GSSr also provides rack mounting with similar features and performance to the GSS100 in a more compact, lightweight box, ideal for mobile and transportable applications.

GSSr

This solution provides all the record and replay capability of the GSS100 conveniently deployed in a compact, lightweight box. DATaRec 4 signal interface modules can be mounted locally (rack mount chassis available) and/or remotely from the GSSr. Ergonomic controls and display provide the user with system status feedback and simple operation. The built-in hard drive RAID is easily removable to facilitate separation of data from multiple or secure missions. The GSSr solution is ideal for large ground station, transportable, and rugged applications.

GSS100

The GSS100 is a high-speed, high-capacity, scalable, ground data acquisition system for applications with high channel counts and high bandwidth.

The GSS100 has a range of interface modules that record and replay high-speed analog, MIL-STD-1553, PCM, video, Ethernet, serial data and various other signal/data sources. Data time stamping and multiplexing is achieved in dedicated hardware with synchronization inputs from IRIG and GPS time reference sources. This ensures excellent time resolution and systematic time correlation accuracy across all channels during replay and digital analysis.

Data storage for the GSS100 is mounted into two removable canisters that contain 5 drives each, and may be populated with a range of capacities in hard disk or solid state media. This allows the user to deploy various combinations of media to be configured for high-capacity, mirroring or RAID implementation. The GSS also provides easily configured connectivity to high-speed interfaces and networks for distribution, archiving and import of data.

A dual core 2.4 GHz processor with 4 GB RAM, 64 bit operating system and a large, high resolution screen provides an integrated platform for system configuration, control and monitoring. The controller has a removable system boot drive, which allows all recordable non-volatile media to be removed from the system for security purposes. A DVD-RW drive provides local system support and program upload/download capability.

A user's computer can provide complete remote operation via an easily installed virtual system application connected to GSS through serial or Ethernet interfaces. The system is IRIG106 Chapter 10 compatible.

The GSS is a high quality digital solution for applications such as range telemetry acquisition (including pre-detection recording), satellite downlink monitoring, large test establishments and replacement of legacy IRIG106 wideband tape recorder systems.
